Members Tim and Liz Wright came to FTF approximately 2 months ago. They have been coming faithfully 3 times a week to FTF and modifying the workouts as needed. They have made SIGNIFICANT gains in their fitness levels. If you ever have a chance to say hello to the Wrights, they are an absolutely amazing couple with very warm hearts and always have a smile on their face (yes sometimes even during their workouts). Did I mention we are in our 60’s?
Tim ~ I was reluctant because it was extreme, intense, and those in the training were “fit”, and I was ok with my 3-day a week 90 minute workout at a local gym. I’m 63 and I can’t remember when I’ve felt this good; more energy, stamina and I’m getting toned. I won’t be renewing my local gym membership.
Liz ~ I was afraid to try something that I thought I couldn’t do. I can do some of the exercises, some are modified and some I’m working up to trying later. It’s exciting to increase the weights or reps and walk out with more energy.
Do we like it? YES! We get more out of a 20 minute cross-fit workout three times a week than the workouts at our local gym. The workouts vary daily and you never know what to expect and neither does your body!
Results: We’ve learned how to lift correctly and it’s made it easier to lift up our grandkids, get them in and out of car seats, highchair, etc. No more backaches at the end of a long day of babysitting. We’ve increased our flexibility, have better balance and improved our strength. Our everyday routines of bending, lifting, up and down, in and out of the car, aren’t as taxing on our bodies. This has even helped our golf game!
